Meenu Goyal is a passionate artist who started painting at the age of 17. In her teens, she faced partial loss of vision due to a debilitating case of meningitis despite which she resumed to homeschool herself under a gracious art teacher many years later. Painting provided her with a sense of refuge, she continues to hone her skills in acrylics, charcoal, and watercolours through practice and experimentation. In her eight years of experience as an artist she has developed a distinct style, characterized by a harmonious blend of realism and interpretative expression, where each stroke reflects the essence of the natural world. Her paintings evoke a sense of meditative calmness, reflecting her belief that art has an universally soothing effect. Recently, Meenu has displayed her work at World Art Dubai, 2024, American Centre in New Delhi, Lalit Kala Academy, and Pacific Art Gallery amongst others. She was awarded the Silver Category in the Manikarnika Amrita as Sher-Gil Art Competition and continues to channel her passion for art in various community building and social development efforts.
